So many people spent Saturday nights skating on a floor “smooth as water” at The Palace roller skating center. The Palace Vintage Tee helps you remember the fantastic roller rink as the hotspot during the 80s, where you could glide across the floor, grooving to the music played from the DJ booth under a state-of-the-art light show. The Palace, located at 4050 N. Port Washington Road, opened November 15th, 1980, and was an amazing hangout where you could feel the love of community, culture, and family. It launched the unforgettable Palace Dancers, many drill teams, and competitions that were so much fun. If you lived nearby, or not so nearby, you happily made the trip to skate and hang with friends. The Palace was “built for roller-skating from the ground up” and created many lifetime memories. Its spirit still lives on through continuing Palace skating reunions.
