Star Clock Tower Works

Regular price $30.00 Sale

The Clock Tower is a fundamental aspect of Milwaukee. Throughout the city from the Allen Bradley Clock Tower to churches and buildings you always know what time it is beautifully.

M. Schwalbach and Sons Clock Tower Works company was located at 1336 North 9th St., just south of Vilet.

Schwalbach was also instrumental in many other innovations of the time including the QWERTY typewriter.

Their work is still on display at locations such as St. Stanislaus Catholic Church 524 W. Historic Mitchell Street.

Shortly after the clocks at St. Stanislaus began operating, St. Stanislaus established the first Polish parochial school in America.

Its first teacher, Sister Tyta, was also the first Polish nun in America.

Wear this shirt with pride while teaching History 414 in style.
